Cllr Chris McEwans letter in the Northern Echo was so full of spin and feel good factors we thought some reference to the reality of life was necessary to bring him down to earth.
Under the Labour controlled council of Darlington council tax has doubled and yet the cost of living has only increased by one third.
The real question is where has all this tax money gone besaring in mind schools , transport ,education and housing are all funded by the income tax payer via state grants.
