Labour's election address.

Date: 23/04/2010

The recent addition to Labours publications is their election address.
This shows on one side a picture of the Labour candidate who it is said comes from the South of England after all , looking everywhere but not engaging with the voters.

She says:- the choice is about creating a fair future for all - ok , but past performance appears to mean reducing everyone's opportunities to achieve this socialist goal . It is a levelling down not up.

She says:- " a change that will put the recovery at risk"-what recovery ! The highest ever national debt remains untouched , unemployment is catastrophic , pensioners and those on fixed incomes have been ignored in their dire times , Care for the elderly is slashed , the list goes on and it is going to get worse under labour plans.

She says:- " I want to put local back in politics " as if this is new. All parliamentary candidates are elected to support and look after the interests of all the residents of the Town but the business of an MP is in Westminster dealing mainly with National government matters and that needs more than a novice local councillor.

She says:- " I will always live in Darlington"  this needs some thought , the job is in London.

She says:- the town never again suffers the unemployment of the 1980's" , that was thirty years ago ,there are new generations since then and all they can see is this very unemployment looming larger by the day.
